BONTOC, Mountain Province – Mountain Province State University President (MPSU) Edgar G. Cue extended his gratitude to all the local officials and other stakeholders who were instrumental in the transition of the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College to MPSU during the First Monday Program at the Multi-Purpose Hall on September 2, 2024.
“On behalf of the MPSPC family, I would like to express our resounding heartfelt gratitude to Congress representative Maximo Y. Dalog Jr., Atty.Cyphrine Maxcel Y. Dalog-Duclan, the key leaders of the province led by the Governor of Mountain Province Bonifacio C. Lacwasan,Jr., the past Mountain Province key leaders, CHED officials led by Chairperson J. Prospero E. de Vera III and CHED-CAR Regional Director Dr.Demetrio P. Anduyan, Jr., the MPSPC Board of Trustees headed by Commissioner Marita R. Canapi, also known as the daughter of Mountain Province bestowed with the name “Dayogen”, the former MPSPC presidents and administrators, and the College officials. The collective vision for the College since its humble beginnings as a community college has finally come into a reality,” Cue said.
In addition, Cue said that the transition of the MPSPC to MPSU is stipulated in the Republic Act No. 12016 which was signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. on August 1, 2024.
Meanwhile, Cue cited the recent achievements of MPSU in various activities such as the International Organization for Standardization Surveillance Audit, Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection 2024, national championship of the ROTC Games, World UniversityRankings for Innovations 2024, Philippine Coffee Expo, Philippines-Canada Education Consortium, and national rating of criminology board passers, among others.
Furthermore, Cue said that the MPSU was accorded with a plaque of recognition during the SUCFAIR 2024-COPC night for achieving 100% Certificate of Program Compliance across all the program it offers. By Hail, MP
