City officials recently commended and congratulated Kurt Justin Santiago for being crowned as Mr. Tourism Ambassador Universe–Continental International 2023 at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia last June 5, 2023.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that Santiago’s remarkable feat in the prestigious Tourism Ambassador Universe is worthy of praise and emulation making the entire city and the Cordillera proud of such an incredible accomplishment which will truly serve as an inspiration to many, especially the youth.
Earlier, Santiago bested representatives from different countries to win the title, including Mr. Congeniality and Best in Talent.
He is a proud Igorot who hails from Sagada and Bontoc, Mountain Province but currently resides in the city.
The newly crowned Mr. Tourism Ambassador Universe – Continental International is a graduate of the course Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is currently working as a freelance consultant.
On December 17, 2022, he was crowned Mr. Earth Philippines–Air 2022 during the grand coronation night held at Cainta, Rizal where he also bagged Best in Leap, Mr. Congeniality, Best in Swimwear, Online Choice Award and Best in Arrival Award.
Santiago’s advocacy focuses on environmental protection as means to address the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations which involves battling pollution, hunger, and poverty, among others
