TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Barangay Nambucayan celebrated its 3rd Binalengbeng Festival on April 28 at the barangay gym with the theme “Unity is the strongest foundation to a progressive barangay.”
Aurora Amilig, City Information Officer, represented Mayor Darwin C. Estrañero, who was the event’s guest of honor and speaker.
In her statement, Amilig emphasized the festival’s importance in presenting Nambucayan’s unique culture, as well as how it will attract visitors and tourists.
She encouraged the community to innovate in their products and services, which could open up Nambucayan to the world through its festival and make the barangay a popular tourist destination in the near future.
The festival drew a large crowd, which included community members, teachers, local leaders, and invited guests.
Cultural acts were provided, contributing to the joyful atmosphere and highlighting the barangay’s cultural diversity.
Barangay officials, led by Punong Barangay Samuel Gunaban, thanked the city mayor for the numerous construction projects that have enhanced Nambucayan’s infrastructure, such as access roads and other building structures.
They are looking forward to future projects financed by the city government and other organizations that will benefit the neighborhood.
District II Board Member Mark Aldrich Diasen and Dr. Caroline Agyao were also present during the Fiesta celebrations to support the occasion and celebrate Nambucayan’s ongoing success and advancement. By Ian Addatu
