Sky Cable subscribers can now again enjoy more National Basketball Association (NBA) live action as the Solar channels NBA Premium and Basketball TV (BTV) are reactivated in their channel line-up.
According to an advisory in their website, these two channels were on air again starting New Year’s Day.
“SKY subscribers can now enjoy the NBA games and related content on NBA Premium TV and BTV channels, along with other Solar channels, Jack TV and Solar Sports, We welcome this development and thank our subscribers for their patience and continued patronage.”, noted their advisory.
In addition, NBA Premium under SD and HD formats will be on Free View for 15 days available to all Sky subscribers on Cable from January 1-15, 2019.
It will be recalled that Solar Entertainment pulled out the two basketball channels in 2017 at the worst possible time, in April when the 2017 NBA playoffs were about to start.
Unpaid carriage fees were reportedly the cause of the snafu that allegedly reached between P80 million to P659 million as stated by the contending parties Sky Cable and Solar Entertainment Group.
These channels were never reactivated except for a very short-lived period last October 2018.
In Baguio City and neighboring areas of distribution, NBA Premium can be seen on channels 312 for SD format and 762 for HD format; BTV on channel 302 (SD); Solar Sports on channel 34 (SD); and Jack TV on channel 617 (SD).
