BAGUIO CITY – The NEDA Regional Office Cordillera boosted their Sunday morning and joined around 600 runners in a color fun run dedicated for servant heroes held at the Lake Drive in Burnham Park, Baguio City on September 1, 2024.
The Takbo para sa Mga Servant Heroes is dedicated to raise funds, create awareness of the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani of the Civil Service Commission and promote health and wellness among civil servants.
Dubbed as VibeRun, this was held throughout the country to foster goodwill and camaraderie among public servants. Designed as a festivity, the runners participated in the simultaneous color splash that brought an array of vibrant colors. The event design was inspired by the spring festival known as Holi in India and Nepal, which added vibrancy and festivity of the event.
The event opens the month-long observance of the 124th Philippines Civil Service Anniversary. This year’s celebration promotes the importance of cultivating sustainable management for the achievement of a future-ready civil service. This is also aligned with the aspirations and goals of the Ambisyon Natin 2040, which envisions a Philippines that enjoys a stable and comfortable life that is protected and enabled by a clean, efficient, and fair government.
