BAGUIO CITY – Regional Executive Director Cameron Odsey of the Cordillera office of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office (DA-RFO-CAR) has encouraged newly appointed employees of the regional agriculture department to create a legacy that would serve the people.
In the oath-taking ceremony of newly appointed employees at the new Conference Hall of DA-RFO-CAR, Director Odsey reiterated the importance for all employees of the regional agriculture department to strive in creating a legacy of service to the people that can be emulated by the current and future employees of the department.
“It is a rare opportunity to be appointed in our department which is why I encourage everyone to strive and excel in our work because we owe it to the Filipino people. Let us do this by always putting in mind our service in government, service for the people, and service to God that we can share our fellow employees in the department,” Odsey said.
The Director shared that compared to their time when they started their career as civil servants, there are better opportunities for government workers to which despite the challenges that the department faces, DA-RFO-CAR continuous to provide various agricultural-related services to their constituents.
“These are the best of times because there are many opportunities with this new administration, and despite the challenges that we encounter, we are doing good in CAR,” the Director added.
Director Odsey pointed out the significant contribution of the regional agriculture department’s employees through technological support in the production of rice and heirloom rice, corn, preservation of the watersheds, livestock, and the maintenance of the 80 percent highland vegetable requirements of Metro Manila, including the daily operations and management of the department.
The 18 newly appointed employees are Arlina Golonan, Lacrinas Punio, Arnel Manuel, Ramon Bageo, Cecil Capegsan, Karl Glenn Kigis, Henry Gwyn Jonathan Salasa, Maria Kristina Mercedes Javier, Crisante Rosario, Adrian Castaneda, Tetchie Belle Bagnos, Jessica Magalgalit, Lloyd Edward Celo, Jasmine Agbuya, Florence Coteng, Sarah Balloyan, Benedicto Tiggangay, and Marijane Watchorna.
These appointees come from the Research Division, Integrated Laboratories Division, Planning-Monitoring and Evaluation Division, Regulatory Division Field Operations Division, Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division, and Administrative and Finance Division.
