LICUAN-BAAY, Abra – Police Brig. Gen. David K. Peredo, Jr., regional director of the Police Regional Office – Cordillera (PRO-CAR), led the inauguration and blessing of the newly constructed Licuan-Baay Municipal Police Station building in sitio Baquero, barangay Nalbuan, recently as part of the continuous efforts to boost infrastructure and enhance public safety services in the region.
Peredo, together with Mayor Darwin L. Domingo, led the ribbon-cutting and the unveiling of commemorative markers. This was followed by the blessing of the building, facilitated by Rev. Fr. Gary Rex B. Bugtong.
In his message, Peredo reminded the personnel of Licuan-Baay MPS to cherish their new MPS as if it were their home, emphasizing that it will serve as a crucial facility in performing their duties and responsibilities in maintaining peace and order in Licuan-Baay and the entire province of Abra.
“This building also stands as a center of PNP-community interaction a place where the public can approach, engage, and feel assured that their police are always ready to serve.
It is a testament to our dedication to strengthening the foundations of law and order in every corner of the Cordillera. With this new station, we aim to enhance police visibility, ensure faster response to emergencies, and create a safer, more secure environment for all,” the Regional Director added.
This significant milestone highlights the power of unity and cooperation among the Philippine National Police, Local Government Units, various agencies, and the community. The steadfast support from local leaders, national institutions, and the residents of Licuan-Baay demonstrates a shared commitment to advancing peace, security, and meaningful development in the region.

Lacuata, Chief of the Regional Public Information Office; PMaj Benjamin V. Aquino, Officer-in-Charge of the Regional Engineering Unit; PMaj Barnard Bone F. Navarra of the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division; PCpt Christopher B. Abbacan, Acting Chief of Police of Licuan-Baay MPS; and other key officers and personnel of Abra PPO.
