BONTOC, Mountain Province – Police Brigadier General (PBGen.) Ronald Oliver Lee, regional director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-Cor), briefly met with the Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. and Vice Governor Francis O. Tauli at the Provincial Capitol this morning.
PBGen. Lee assumed as the new regional chief of police last April 12, 2021 vice PBGen. R’win Pagkalinawan. According to Lee, he is an Ilocano from La Union and his paternal grandfather was a Chinese, thus, his surname, Lee.
In his brief visit, Lee informed the Provincial Government officials that his visit to the province is one important facet in his function as the chief of the PRO-Cor police. He said that it is the best way to start his new job and is the most effective way to establish a good working relationship with the people he is going to serve.
He also shared that ideally, he should be visiting all communities in the region but given the current pandemic, he said that such would not be possible.
In response, Gov. Lacwasan and Vice Gov. Tauli extended the people of the province’s greetings. Also, they invited him to return to the province when the circumstances allow or are more favorable so he could also see the many tourist spots in the province.
With Lee from the PRO-Cor were Chief of Staff PCol Ramil Saculles, PLt. Col. Jonathan Chy, a chaplain and PCapt. James John Taguba. Also with the PRO-Cor contingent were elements from the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (MPPPO) led by PCol. Ruben B. Andiso , the provincial director.
