BANGUED, Abra – The No.2 top drug personality in the province was arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents by virtue of a warrant of arrest in his residence at Pangtod, Pidigan, Abra.
Senior Superintendent Albertlito S. Garcia, director of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the drug personality as Isagani Pastor Briones, 47, and a resident of Pangtod, Pdigan town. He was arrested by joint personnel of PNP Abra Shield and Pidigan MPS by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Raphiel Alzate of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 1, Bangued, Abra.
Seized items from the suspect’s residence were One (1) sachet containing suspected marijuana seeds; Drug paraphernalia; One (1) caliber 9mm Pietro Pistol with SN S112448 inserted with one (1) magazine loaded with seven (7) rounds of ammunition; and One (1) black holster.
Briones is now under the custody of the Pidigan MPS while a case for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 was filed against him in court.
