Abra Gov. Eustaquio Bersamin that the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) decided to suspend work and classes in all levels in both private and government institutions on Monday, August 24, 2015 because of the inclement weather and to allow people to be able to fix whatever damages they might have suffered during the onslaught of Tropical Cyclone ‘Ineng.’
However, employees of banks and offices with functions related to disaster risk reduction and management are obliged to report for work in order to respond to the emergency needs of people from the different municipalities who were affected by the heavy rains and strong winds brought by the tropical cyclone.
On the other hand, Benguet Gov. Nestor B. Fongwan announced that there will be no classes in all levels in the province on Monday, August 24 due to the continues prevalence of inclement weather as a result of the onslaught of the previous weather disturbance.
Benguet and Abra were the most devastated provinces on the Cordillera due to the onslaught of Tropical Cyclone “Ineng.”
