BANGUED, Abra – A 31-year old noodle maker was hurt after he was stabbed by an assailant during a heated altercation while attending a christening party at Linasin, here, Thursday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Jaybert Baro Belena, 31 single, noodles maker and resident of Linasin Zone 1, Bangued, Abra while the suspect was named as Daniel Millare, legal age, married, tricycle driver and a resident of Linasin, Bangued, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim went to attend a christening party in the neighborhood wherein he had a drinking spree with some companions.
The suspect arrived and joined them but the victim startd asking permission to go hom as he was already under the influence of liquor.
The suspect tried to request the victim to stay which escalated into a heated argument.
At this juncture, the suspect drew a knife and stabbed the victim several times on the different parts of his body before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was rushed by concerned citizens to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt by the police operatives.
