February has been time and again said as the heart month primarily because we celebrate Valentine’s Day which is a special day for lovers. It is the month where the sharing of love for our special ones is evident through various forms, gift-giving, dating among other special means that we want to show our love to the individuals close to our hearts. Various establishments also come out with their own unique offerings for their patrons to patronize their shops during the celebration of Valentine’s Day. The worldwide tradition of celebration Valentine’s Day has been passed on to generations up to the present but because of the advancement of information and communication technology ICT), much have changed on how people celebrate the special day for the hearts.
Because of the need for people to earn income in order to help uplift the living condition of their families, the celebration of the special day of the hearts has become not so special this time considering the trends in society brought about by the changes in lifestyle that have been practiced by our forefathers. At least, we are still able to see a number of individuals giving importance to the celebration of hearts day on February 14 which happens to fall on a Sunday this year while most people still continue to do their daily routine just to make the day pass. For those who just entered a relationship, we believe they will still enjoy hearts day without allowing the day to pass but for those who are already old enough to understand the reality of life, maybe dating their special love ones will just be as simple as possible as they have to think for the coming days to work in order to sustain uplifting the living condition of their respective families. For those who want to take advantage of the soft heart of other, may they able to learn their lessons the hard way so that they will be able to mature and be able to live happily ever after as many experienced individuals have undergone. For those who opt to remain single and enjoy the life of a bachelor, may you be able to realize the beauty behind love and enter into a lasting relationship in the future considering that we were made to love and share love to our special ones.
The giving of material things to your special ones is just to display one’s love for him or for her. However, such giving out of material things is not only the way to show love but more importantly, it is the mutual feelings for your special one. The desire for materials things by the other party does not speak well of one’s attitude towards love because it is putting added pressure on your partner to unreasonably spend. Let us allow our love ones to freely give their desired material things to us as their gifts in time for the celebration of Valentine’s Day. Let us not be the type of partner that tries to demand for material things which our partners could not deliver to us.
For as long as we will be together with our special ones, let us joyfully celebrate Valentine’s Day with them and not only for that day but let us make Valentine’s Day daily so that we will have a stronger relationship with them. We believe material things in a relationship is just secondary because what is important is for you to have a strong relationship which we urgently need in this present times. With the obvious breakdown in most relationships because of simple things, let us start concretizing our relationships with our special ones and lead the way in bringing back the morality of life which has been significantly derailed through the past several decades due to human errors in decision-making among other reasons of greed.
Numerous social issues have cropped up because of strained relationships. It is worthy to note that concerned government agencies like the social welfare department and their local counterparts are doing their best to mend relationships in order to save families and prevent children from being victims of broken families. Allowing our society to be affected by various immoralities will greatly affect the present and future generations that is why as early as now, let us do our part in contributing to save our relationships for the sake of the establishment of a God-fearing community. It must start with our respective selves, our families, the communities where we belong and eventually spread to our city, municipality, province, region and the country as a whole.
Let us be good examples to our children so that they will be good parents to their future families. Teaching the present and future generations will greatly contribute in improving the state of our society which had been ruined by numerous immoralities. Let us practice the Biblical teachings and draw our inspiration from the life of Jesus Christ as we bring our efforts to spare our society from immorality to greater nights.
