TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The Office of the City Agricultural Services (OFCAS) held a financial literacy training for 4-H clubs in the city on October 21, 2022 to capacitate the members of the youth organization to successfully set up and run a business.
Resource speakers from the Kalinga State University (KSU) trained the participants on business correspondence, records management, business math, business plan preparation, bookkeeping, among others.
The training is part of a series being sponsored by the OFCAS in support of the 4-H clubs to help build their skills in agriculture and entrepreneurship.
The OFCAS previously sponsored a mushroom production training and will also sponsor a vermicomposting training, according to Rey-an Gallamoy of the OFCAS, one of the training’s facilitators.
Attending the financial literacy training were the 4-H clubs of KSU-Bulanao, KSU-Dagupan, Appas, Lucog, Nambucayan, Pacak Agbannawag, Maledda, Matucnang, and Binongsay.
Among the resource speakers were Rexon H. Gaston, MSt, Faculty of Language; Allan B. Collalong, MBA, Faculty of BS in Office Administration; Jocelyn R. Lumas-e, MST-Math Major; Sonia T. Belinan, Faculty of BS Entrepreneurship; Lazaro III Dilem, CPA, Faculty of BS Accountancy; and Laarni Velasco, MBA, Faculty of BSBA-FM.
