BAGUIO CITY – A 50-year old returning Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on separate warrants for illegal recruitment and estafa at Lower Cypress, Irisan, here, Saturday.
Senior Superintendent Ramil l. Saculles, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the arrested individual as Marie Claire Afidchao Vergara, 50, married, OFW, and a resident of Purok 27 San Carlos Hts. Irisan, Baguio City.
She was arrested by virtue of two warrants of arrested issued by Judge Cecilia Corazn Dulay-Archog of the Regional Trial court (RTC) Branch 6 for illegal recruitment and estafa with a total recommended bail of P52,000 for his temporary liberty.
The arrested person was brought to the BCPO headquarters for documentation prior to her turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposal of the cases filed against her.
