CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – As a result of intensified manhunt operation of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), the suspected leader of the Phoenix Blitz Criminal Gang and three other members was successfully arrested in Sindalan, San Fernando Pampanga.
By virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judges Leody M Opolinto, Presiding Judge, MTCC, Branch 3, Baguio City and Roberto Mabalot, Presiding Judge, Br 1, MTCC, Baguio City, suspects identified as Junilyn Bringas Dabalos, 44, and Ronaldo Sales Agsalud, 46, were both apprehended in Lourdes Heights Subd., Sindalan, San Fernando, Pampanga, while Joselito Garcia Picarzos, 63, was held in Magtuto Compound Sindalan, San Fernando, Pampanga on December 2, 2020.
As a result of follow-up operation, their leader identified as Grace Decano De Guzman, 58 who is a resident of San Fernando City, Pampanga was finally captured at Magtuto Compound Sindalan, San Fernando, Pampanga in the morning of December 3, 2020.
According to the report of BCPO, the Phoenix Blitz started to operate on April 2018 victimizing various private sectors, businessmen and online seller networking groups in Baguio City and able to amassed a total some of P4.5 million. Accordingly, the group enticed the investors to invest their money in exchange for a 30 percent return on investment in just a month and assure them that their money is placed in the foreign exchange market. Investors started suing them after they failed to return their money.
Suspects De Guzman, Dabalos and Agsalud were charge for 10 counts of Estafa, while Picarzos was accused for 6 counts of the same crime. All suspects has a total recommended bailbond of Php560,000.00 each.
The suspects were listed as Top Most Wanted Person in the Station Level of BCPO. Grace Decano De Guzman was listed as no.1 TMWP of Station-2; while Junilyn Bringas Dabalos, listed No. 8 TMWP, Ronaldo Sales Agsalud, listed as No. 9 TMWP and Joselito Garcia Picarzos listed as no. 10 TMWP, all of Station 8.
