BAGUIO CITY – City officials recently commended and congratulated for being awarded as the Outstanding Teacher during the 2024 Search for Outstanding Teachers and School Heads by the Philippine Public School Teachers Association (PPSTA).
In a resolution, local legislators stated that the local government proudly recognizes and commends the outstanding achievement and performance of Dr. Dayog that contributes to further promote the city as the undisputed Education Center of the North by manifesting the true values and character of an educator.
The 2024 Philippine Public School Teachers Association Search for Outstanding Teachers and School Heads stemmed from a dedicated commitment to acknowledge and celebrate the unwavering loyalty, exemplary performance and remarkable contributions of individuals in promoting quality basic education.
This initiative was grounded in the understanding that recognizing excellence in the education sector is pivotal for fostering a culture of continuous improvement, promoting professional growth, and uplifting the overall quality of basic education.
Among the 17 participating regions, personnel from the Department of Education Schools Division of Baguio City was able to qualify in the national search.
In the teacher category, Dr. Dayog, Master Teacher 2 from the Pinsao Elementary School, ranked first and was awarded as the 2024 Outstanding Teacher last December 12, 2024 in San Mateo, Rizal.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to Dr. Dayog and the Department of Education–Schools Division of Baguio City for information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. By Dexter A. See
