BONTOC, Mountain Province – A total of 1406 dogs were vaccinated in the central barangays during the recently concluded Anti-rabies Vaccination conducted by the Bontoc Local Government Unit through the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist (OMAg) and Municipal Health Office (MHO) in partnership with the Provincial Veterinary Office.
Since January 2022, three confirmed rabies cases were recorded in the municipality while four dog-bite cases were reported in the central barangays for the month of October.
With this Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., stressed the benefits of having properly vaccinated pets at home and in the community.
“Let us continue to be advocates of a healthy community that is fit for both humans and animals by supporting vaccination drives and simply putting our pets on a leash for everyone’s safety,” the mayor added.
