SABLAN, Benguet – At least 153 residents in Sablan, Benguet received medical-dental services in an outreach program spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Benguet headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas through the Provincial Health Office (PHO) in barangay Poblacion on August 30, 2023.
The activity is part of the celebration of the municipality’s 9th Fruit Festival with the theme, “Fruits of Harmony: Celebrating Nature’s Symphony.”
The services provided include medical consultation, dental services, electrocardiogram, basic laboratory services, optometry services, physical therapy, and pneumococcal vaccination.
As part of the activity, Gov. Diclas also turned over 5 wheelchairs, 3 walkers, and 50 canes to the municipal government of Sablan headed by Mayor Alfredo Dacumos, Jr.
In his message, the Governor thanked all the health workers involved in the activity for the successful preparation and implementation of the program. Joining the PHO were health workers from Benguet General Hospital, Kapangan District Hospital, Benguet Optometrists Association, Philippine Red Cross – Benguet Chapter, Provincial DOH Office of Benguet, Sablan Health Services Office, and volunteers.
