CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad Benguet – More than P132 million worth of illegal drugs were seized and 31 drug personalities were arrested by combined police and anti-narcotics operatives during the conduct of recent separate anti-drug operations in the region over the past several weeks.
Operatives seized over 132 million worth of illegal drugs; arrested 31 individuals, and filed 17 cases in court. Of the P132,962,787.39 worth of illegal drugs, 137.05 grams consist of shabu, 366,273 marijuana plants, and 12,160 seedlings,9,050.00 grams of seeds, 398,358.92 grams of marijuana dried leaves, and 85,000 marijuana stalks.
Recently, a timekeeper of Omengan Construction and Development Corporation Don Don Doctor Cacanindin, 32, and a resident of Casigayan, Tabuk City, Kalinga was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Dagitan St., Casigayan Centro, Tabuk City, Kalinga. Confiscated and recovered from his possession were two sachets of suspected shabu, buy-bust money and one unit white Samsung Smartphone
Another offender arrested was identified as Christopher Tumaneng Buston, 32, carpenter and a resident of Balong, Tabuk City, Kalinga. He was arrested in Pantar, Laya West, Tabuk City, Kalinga. Evidence confiscated from his possession were P1,000.00 buy-bust money and a sachet of suspected shabu.
PROCOR Regional Director, PGen Pagkalinawan lauded the alertness of the personnel amid the COVID 19 scare and further enjoined them to continue with their mandates to intensify their anti-criminality/terrorism campaign and arrest criminal elements who will take advantage of the situation.
