TABUK CITY, Kalinga July 22 – More than P2 million worth of fully-grown marijuana plants were successfully destroyed by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents during a marijuana eradication operation in an 800-square meter plantation are at Chumanchil, Loccong, Tinglayan over the weekend.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, Officer-in-Charge, of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (KPPO) said that the joint operatives from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU)14,Tinglayan Municipal Police Office (MPS), Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group (PAIDSOTG) led by Superintendent Charles Dumallig and Senior Inspector Francisco Ben successfully eradicated 10,000 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants in an 800 square meters plantation in Sitio Chumansil, barangay Luccong,Tinglayan with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of more or less P2,000,000.00 on July 18, 2015 at about 6:00AM.
Unfortunately, there were no cultivators arrested despite diligent efforts made by the operatives during the said operation.
