CONNER, Apayao – Beneficiaries in Conner, Apayao are the latest recipients of the aid from the Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Families (PAFF) amounting to P7,640,000 million.
The said amount was distributed to 764 individuals in the said municipality with the help of the Office of the President through the Provincial Government Unit of Apayao (PLGU) in coordination with the Provincial and Municipal Agriculture Services Office Provincial (POAS and MA’s).
The payout took place at the EKB Clubhouse Caglayan, Conner on August 16,2024. Each beneficiary received a total amount of P10,000.00 and 5 kilos of rice.
The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office PSWDO (PSWDO) in partnership with Provincial Accounting Office (PAccO) and Provincial Treasury Office (PTO) interviewed and assessed the qualified beneficiaries to avoid misunderstanding.
They also explained that one beneficiary per family only be qualified and to avoid reiteration of the beneficiaries.
Verlie Mae S. Baldovino, Supervising Legislative Staff Officer IV (SLSO IV) and a representative from the Provincial Governor’s Office, explained in her message how the provincial leaders work to help bring the assistance to the people of the province.
“Haan met lang nga posible daytoy nga programa nu haan nga gapu iti inted da nga talek ken dagiti leaderes tayo, ta babaen kaniada isu nga maysa iti probinsya iti apayao, nga napagasatan metlang ken datoy nga PAFF/ ayuda,nga maited tatta nga aldaw kania u, awan sabali nu di da Congresswoman Eleanor Bulut-Begtang ken ama ng probinsya, na walang ginawa kundi magisip ng magisip kung ano ang makakabuti at ikakabuti ng ating probinsya, Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr.,” said Baldovino.
Baldovino likewise reminded the people of Conner that the assistance provided does not only signify help but also the commitment of Governor Butzy and Cong. Leah in supporting all yApayao farmers and fisherfolk to attain a better life.

Butzy iti supporta iti pinangi- baggat wenu pinangi ngato met iti pinagbiyag dagitoy mannalon ken manggalap karaman na dagitoy pamilya da. Ket sapaylang kuma ta usaren u atuy para sa pamilya, bukid o para sa hanap buhay na makakatulong sa ating pamilya at sa ikakaunlad ng probinsya” she added.
Marcelin Gascon, a PAFF beneficiary, extended her sincerest gratitude to the good leaders saying the financial assistance will greatly helped them in sustaining the basic needs of their family. By Michelle Acantilado
