Well, it’s Panagbenga Festival 2018 again. It is the annual traditional festival of flowers and celebrated every year in February to pay tribute to the city flowers. This event is considered as one of the most attracted and awaited festivals in the Philippines. The term Panagbenga belongs to Kankanaey which means “Season of blooming or a time for flowering.”
For the information of my avid readers, this column will give you the highlights of Panagbenga festival 2018 which are the street dance parade and the float parade that showcase multiple colors of nature. The list of activities for this festival has been released by the official Panagbenga 2018 calendar. This year the theme of the festival is inspired by the beauty and nature, dubbed as “Celebration of Culture and Creativity”

Feb. 15 – 17 School-based Competition -Landscaping Judging City wide elementary & high school
Feb. 16 – 18 PMA Alumni Homecoming Weekend PMA, Loakan Road
Feb. 16 – Flower Tee Open Golf Tournament Baguio Country Club and Camp John Hay
Feb. 17 – Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) City Wide
Feb. 24 – Grand Street Parade
