“Taun-taon po nating isinasagawa ang Buntis Congress para po magabayan natin ang ating mga ina sa kanilang pagbubuntis dahil ayaw po ng Provincial Government na may inang namamatay at anak na lumalaking walang ina,” Dr. Cielo Almoite said during her speech, as she assured the audience that the Provincial Government is with them in raising the future generation of Pangasinan.
Also, lectures on Maternal and Child Health, Breastfeeding, Child Health and Family Planning were brought to educate the Pangasinense women about motherhood. PHILHEALTH also tackled their financial assistance program for those who are about to give birth.
Hence, 200 participants were given hygiene kits, both for their baby and the pregnant women.
Meanwhile, PHO conducted a search for Mrs. Pretty Preggy as an appreciation to the beauty of Pangasinense women. Candidates for the said pageant were from different barangays of the Municipality of Sta. Barbara.
