LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Pangasinan takes pride in commending three young siblings from Alcala town who won the National Motocross Sports Championships held in Oriental Mindoro and Puerto Princesa, Palawan last summer.
Through the sponsorship of Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Rosary Gracia P. Perez-Tababa, Provincial Resolution No. 1073-2017 was unanimously approved by the august body headed by Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. during the regular session Monday.
In her sponsorship statement, the lady board member noted that the three siblings—Jrella Xy Maximo, Hermes Birkin Maximo and Alfredo Symon Maximo III— have ably represented the province in the two events.
At the young age of eight, six and four, respectively, Jrella Xy, Hermes Birkin, and Alfredo Symon III showed exemplary talent and skills in the said sports, Board Member Tababa noted.
The three boys who are sons of Alfredo Maximo, Jr. and Perla Maximo of barangay San Pedro Ili in Alcala competed in Pola, Oriental Mindoro last May 28 and in Puerto Princesa, Palawan on June 11.
“The Sangguniang Panlalawigan is looking forward for these young boys to further develop their confidence, ride more and compete in various motocross events until they become veteran racers” the resolution partly reads.
Motocross is a form of an off-road motorcycle racing in enclosed off-road circuits.
