PARACELIS, Mountain Province – The provincial government continues to help boost tourism in Paracelis with the inaugurations and blessings of the Simma’bot View Deck in Anonat and the Pacac Welcome Arc in Butigue, including other tourism-related projects that were implemented in the municipality held on July 26, 2024.
The formal ceremonies for the completed projects were led by Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., along with other provincial and Paracelis officials, and were attended by personnel from the provincial government, municipal government, line agencies, and local residents. The blessing ceremonies for the view deck and the welcome arc were officiated by Fr. Joel Dumansi of the San Isidro Labrador Mission Parish.
During a formal program, Lacwasan said that the provincial government continues to strengthen its partnership with the municipal government and the other municipalities to further improve the tourism industry in the province by conceptualizing the developments of potential local destinations.
He said that the completed structures like the view deck and the welcome arc will complement the attractions in the municipality. With this, he urged the municipal officials and the residents to further work together to strengthen tourism as it will contribute to the socio-economic development of Paracelis.
Moreover, Lacwasan cited that the completed projects were results of the collaborative efforts among the provincial officials and various offices and agencies.
“We will continue to work to boost the tourism and economic potential of the municipality,” the Governor said.
In their respective messages, Paracelis Mayor Marcos G. Ayangwa and Djarma Rafael, along with the present Sangguniang Bayan members and barangay captains, lauded the efforts and initiatives of the governor and the provincial officials for working to improve the economic prospect of the municipality. They, too, voiced out their gratitude to the provincial government for bringing important projects to boost the municipality’s tourism industry; thus, augmenting the municipal government’s efforts.
Meanwhile, Board Members Federico E. Onsat and Josuha B. Fronda expressed the collective and continuous support of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to the tourism development of Paracelis as it is crucial in community development and is also related to the “Barangay Muna” Program of the current administration that was conceptualized to start developments at the grassroots level.
According to Onsat, enhanced tourism will not only provide more income to the municipality and opportunities to its people but it can also lead to improved infrastructures such as roads.
Moreover, Florencio Balog-ang relayed the message of support of Lone District Representative Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., urging all the officials and the concerned agencies to continue working together to further improve and develop tourism in the municipality. By Hail, MP
