BAGUIO CITY – Anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera Administrative Region (PDEA-CAR) implemented a search warrant on a residential unit along Km. 3 Marcos Highway, Bakakeng Central, Baguio City early dawn Thursday.
Gil Castro, PDEA-CAR Assistant Regional Director, identified the wanted shabu dealer as Bernadette Pascua Rambol also known as Bernadette Rombol, Suzette Rombol, Summer, and Bea, 30, and a resident of Km. 3, Marcos Highway, Bakakeng Central, Baguio City who was arrested when PDEA-CAR operatives found 14.555 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P 62,178.96 inside her leased unit. Rambol, who showed physical manifestations of drug use during the search also tested positive for use of illegal substance during the drug test.
Aside from the dangerous drugs, several drug paraphernalia such as aluminum foil, improvised tooter, weighing scale, plastic sachets, scissors, glass tooters and an improvised glass lamp were seized at the said unit. Safety boxes, a pouch, and a plastic container were also confiscated.
Castro disclosed the search was implemented pursuant to a search warrant issued by Hon. Reynaldo A. Alhambra of the Regional Trial Court Branch 53, Manila. Violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Section 12 (Possession of Paraphernalia for Dangerous Drugs) and Section 15 (Use of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act No. 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” are being readied against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR Regional Office.
