The commemoration of the crucifixion, death resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ from the dead and his joining the Almighty Father in heaven should serve as a testament that there is what is called eternal life. Today, Easter Sunday, the whole Christendom as we celebrate Christ’s rising from the dead and rejoining the Creator as he is now seated at the right hand of the Father looking after us, on the way we live our lives in accordance to God’s will. People celebrate Christ’s resurrection in many different ways but what is important is that we do it with sincerity and the verdant desire to try to emulate how he changed the lives of the oppressed when he was still with us on earth.
During the Holy Week, the Christendom used the period to try to reflect on the way they lived their respective lives. But what is important is for them to have their respective realizations that many of our deeds and actions were not actually in accordance to God’s will but it was purely of human instinct that suits our own interests where we tend to have forgotten Christ’s teachings while he was with us on earth.
We are now again celebrating Christ’s resurrection from the dead and we are hopeful that we were able to make our respective realizations in life for us not to repeat our obvious mistakes and for us to try our best to emulate the way Christ lived on earth. Well, it might be very difficult to do so but at least we are doing somethings to avoid evident temptations that might ruin our credibility and integrity as a person and taint a bad image from the perception of others.
|The best way for us to start our uphill climb to reform our ways of life is to start from our inner self expanding to the members of our families and contaminating the people in our communities and so on and so forth. Communities in the different parts of the world are encountering numerous problems caused by wrong decision-making of leaders and the people themselves that is why we are being battered by the serious negative impact of climate change aggravated by brewing conflicts between powerful nations. Let us actually true to reflect on these problems that we are experiencing and try to find the necessary solutions because we still believe that in every problem, there is always an available solution. Let us strive for peace in our respective communities and let the simple examples that we set to be emulated by others for the same to spread rapidly and be the threshold of peace on earth and good will to men.
Peace is the foundation of everything in this world that is why people must strive for the reign of law and order in our own homes and communities. We must allow cooler heads to prevail upon us so that we will be able to come out with wise decisions that will contribute in instilling peace on earth. Let us not embrace conflict as a means to get over things but let us continue to embark on dialogue for us to be able to peacefully settle our simple and even complicated misunderstandings that crop up in our journey for a better life.
Let us continue to pray for peace among our contending politicians in both the national and local levels. The supporters of our candidates for the upcoming May 12, 2025 mid-term elections should be the ones to set the example of safe, orderly, honest and peaceful elections so that it will be the decision of the majority that will prevail. We must denounce the use of violence, harassment, intimidation, bullying among others for the said politicians to win the hearts of voters because things that we get through cheating will never last but the confidence that we get through embracing law and order and abiding by the tenets of campaigning will surely go a long way for us.
Let us not succumb to whims and caprices of self-style and self-righteous politicians because we will surely be at their mercy once they will be in power considering their evident vindictive actions which had been done after the conduct of the previous elections.
Let us try to use the remaining days of the campaign period to decide on whom to really vote on election day by intently listening to the speeches of the candidates for the different elected positions. Let us not rush our decisions because it is the future of our place that is at stake once we again commit a mistake in voting for the wrong and abusive people to lead us for the next three years. If we know that they had already abused their power when they were given the chance to lead us, then we should no longer allow them to come back but when they had done the best to advance our interest, then they deserve to be elected back in power for the satisfaction of the welfare of the greater majority of the populace.
