TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The Public Employment Services Office (PESO)- Tabuk tallied up 9 prizes during the recently concluded 2021 Regional Year-End Performance and Assessment held in Baguio City, defeating all municipalities in Cordillera, as well as Baguio City and Benguet.
Awards include: 2021 Best Implementer of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged / Displaced Workers (TUPAD), 2021 Best Implementer of Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), 2021 Best Implementer of DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), Top PESO in the Most Number of Beneficiaries Reached in Career Guidance and Employment Coaching under City Category, Top User and Advocate of PESO Employment Information System (PEIS), Top Performer in the Submission of Reprts under City Category, Top Performer for Implementing the JobStart Philippines Program for year 2021, Top Performer in the Most Number of Beneficiaries Reached on Labor Market Information under City Category and Best Public Employment Service Office under City Category
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) also awarded PESO Manager Loyday Saboy a Bayanihan Service Award for PESO’s contribution and employment facilitation efforts during the 2020 COVID-19 epidemic.
Saboy commended both the DOLE-Kalinga and the City Local Government Unit of Tabuk (CLGU) for their continued support of PESO-TABUK, noting that the honors they received would not have been possible without them.
“This [award] is for the people of Tabuk, not only for us, the PESO.” She explained, “Iti pag-sayaatan iti tat-tao.” She also praised her staff saying that it is them who worked tirelessly for the people even during the pandemic.
“Haan mi nga maala dagituy nga award if not without them,” she said.
City Mayor Darwin Estrañero praised the PESO and Saboy for their accomplishments and pledged to continue to assist them so that more city people can benefit.
