PEZA visit Foundever Baguio to spotlight, exchange insights on innovation 

PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga, PEZA-BCEZ Zone Administrator Atty. Abdullah Adel-Khan P. Alug, DA Undersecretary Allan Q. Umali, NEDA Director Richard Ballester, DOST Assistant Secretary Maria Teresa de Guzman, and PEZA Zone Heads visited the Foundever Baguio site on April 23, 2025. They were welcomed by Foundever executives Zameer Basha (Chief Financial Officer), Ronald Portula (Tax Director), Emilia Moran (Finance Director), Ana Vides (Procurement Director), Vida Haboc (Senior Site Director), and Jeff Hilario (Workplace Experience Senior Manager), who presented the company’s contributions to regional growth and digital innovation.

BAGUIO CITY – Senior officials from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and other government agencies visited the Foundever® in Baguio to explore how the global customer experience (CX) leader is contributing to the region’s economic development and embracing innovation in business process management.

The delegation was led by PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga and included key government leaders: PEZA-BCEZ Zone Administrator Atty. Abdullah Adel-Khan P. Alug, Department e Agriculture Undersecretary Allan Q. Umali, Director Richard Ballester of the National Economic Development Authority, Assistant Secretary Maria Teresa de Guzman of the Department of Science and Technology, and several PEZA zone heads. Their visit aimed to gain insight into Baguio’s industrial landscape and to better understand how companies like Foundever are driving impact in economic zones.

Foundever, one of the leading employers in the region, showcased its strategic initiatives and operational capabilities through a series of presentations by its leadership team.

The inclusion of Foundever in the PEZA site visit highlights its status as a key player in the CX industry and its alignment with national priorities for regional development, digital innovation, and inclusive growth.

Basha welcomed the delegates with an overview of the company’s journey and global footprint, highlighting Foundever’s recent rebranding from Sitel Group and SYKES and their renewed focus on digital transformation. He noted that the company’s continued investment in innovation is key to its resilience and growth across global markets.

Procurement Director Ana Vides offered a closer look at the company’s advancements in artificial intelligence, emphasizing how AI is being used to augment performance, improve employee experience, and deliver smarter, faster service for clients.

Workplace Experience Senior Manager Jeff Hilario followed with a presentation on the nationwide presence of Foundever, underlining the company’s role as a major employer in the country’s key cities and its consistent investment in workplace excellence.

Senior Site Director Vida Haboc closed the discussion by presenting key performance data from Foundever in Baguio, underscoring how the company contributes to local employment and economic activity. She emphasized the company’s ongoing efforts to create long-term opportunities for the region’s talent pool.

The visit concluded with a tour of the Baguio facility, giving PEZA officials a firsthand look at the company’s operations and workplace environment.
