BAGUIO CITY – The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), Baguio-Benguet Chapter hosts this year’s Luzon Geographical Area Conference (LGAO) to be held on September 18-19, 2015 at the Prince Plaza Hotel, Legarda Road here.
The two-day conference aims to “Mentor’, “Involve”, “Nurture” And “Develop” the members and provide all attendees the chance to be kept abreast of the current trends and issues affecting the Accountancy profession. It will have topics on the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) Framework on Accountancy Services, Quality Assurance Review Program (QARP) and other topics relative to accounting practice. Attendees will be awarded 15 CPD units necessary for accreditation in compliance with R.A. 9298.
The line-up of speakers and facilitators include Dean Estelita C. Aguirre, Hon. Gerard B. Sanvictores, Ms. Renee I. Taguibos and Mr. Eric James J. Pascua.
Dean Aguirre will conduct the trainings during the first day and will be conveying technical sessions on ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) Framework on Accountancy Services and Performance Governance System in the Accountancy Profession.
Hon. Sanvictores is the speaker for the morning session of the second day and will be tackling Quality Assurance Review Program. The afternoon session of the second day will be induction of officers and fellowship among members and will be facilitated by Ms. Taguibos and Mr. Pascua.
A total of 15 CPD units will be awarded on each thematic area. Three and five units are at stake during Aguirre’s sessions while four and three units are allotted during the second day.
