PICPA Baguio hosts Fully Booked 16-CPD unit 2019 LGAO

(Organizers note: seating capacity for the event is fully booked; walk-in registrants are, likewise, no longer accomodated)
BAGUIO CITY – The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), Baguio-Benguet Chapter will host the 2019 Luzon Geographical Area (LGAO) Summit on February 22-23, 2019 at the Newtown Plaza Hotel, Leonard Wood Road, here.

The summit will be offering 16 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units required for the renewal of CPA’s license and accreditations.

Various topics will covered during the two-day event. These will include: “BOA Updates” by BOA Chairman Dr. Noe Quiñanola, “PICPA Updates” by PICPA National President Asuncion M. Golez, and “Government Expenditures: Issues, Concerns” by Dir. Joseph B. Anacay, and “Work-Life Balance” by PICPA Bicol Region Junior Regional Director Ma. Anna Belen Britanico on the first day.

“Transformational Leadership for Accountants” by Past National Director Saylita A. Cabral, “CPD Updates” by past PICPA Executive Director Jose M. Ireneo, and “TRAIN 1 & 2 Tax Packages, Updates” by former BIR RDO, Professional Lecturer Rhodora G. Icaranom will be tackled on the second day.

Registration fee amounts to P2,240.00 if paid on or before February 8, 2019 and P3,360.00 if paid after February 08, 2019. The fee already covers cost of VAT, snacks, meals, kits, and certificates. Hotel and accommodation costs, however, are not included in the registration fee.

Reservation for the event can be processed by: (1) depositing the registration fee to PS Bank, People’s Park, Baguio City, Checking Account No. 101-332-000393 or  Land Bank of the Philippines SA 0221373987 (Account name: PICPA Baguio-Benguet Chapter); (2) accomplishing a registration form found at the PICPA, Baguio-Benguet Facebook Page; and (3) Faxing the deposit slip and the form to 074-443-9763 during office hours or emailing scanned copies of the same to charmedharry@yahoo.com.

This year’s LGAO Summit is aligned to the 2019 PICPA theme “Promoting Integrity and Advancing Excellence” and in pursuit of uplifting the quality and intellectual ability of CPAs and in compliance with Republic Act 9298.
