City officials recently commended and congratulated the Sakusak Ensemble of the Pinsao National High School for bagging the Best Folkloric Performance during the Aliwan Fiesta Streetdance Competition 2023 held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Complex, Pasay City.
In a proposed resolution, authored by Councilor Leandro B. Yangot, Jr., the Pinsao National High School, the people and officialdom of the city are proud of such an incredible achievement by the members of the cultural dance troupe.
The Sakusak Ensemble bagged the Best Folkloric Performance showcasing the city’s Panagbenga flower festival during this streetdance competition held last July 15, 2023.
Aliwan Fiesta, the nation’s grandest fiesta, is a celebration of beauty and culture in an incomparable feeling of pride and unity among the Filipinos.
This event was actively participated by spectacular cultural streetdancers, grand floats, Reyna ng Aliwan candidates from the different parts of the country which wowed the joyful crowd gathered to witness the staging of the various festivals in the different parts of the country.
This year’s in person conduct of the various activities of the Aliwan Fiesta was the first since the declaration of the Luzonwide lockdown and other community quarantine restrictions to prevent the rapid spread of the COVID-19 in the country.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to the Pinsao National High School and the Sakusak Ensemble for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action.
