PINUKPUK, Kalinga – The town’s top most wanted person died after he was repeatedly shot by still unidentified gunmen while he was on his way to his farm at Sagedeng, Taga, here.
Senior Superintendent Brent Majaco, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the fatality as Segundino Sagalon Gaano, 52, married, Listed Most Wanted Person Municipal Wide and a resident of Sitio Sagedeng, barangay Taga, Pinukpuk, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was walking on a hill leading to his farm when he was fired upon by still unidentified assailants that caused his instantaneous death.
Responding police operatives recovered from the crime scene 3 spent shells of an M-14 rifle while a number of gauge 12 shotgun bullets were recovered from the victim’s pocket.
Recovered pieces of evidence were brought to the Pinukpuk Municipal Police Station for documentation for evidentiary purposes.
