PARACELIS, Mountain Province – 66 Child development workers (CDWs) received their annual cash incentives from the Provincial Government.
The giving of cash incentives to CDWs is an initiative under the Barangay Muna Program of Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., which was designed to recognize and reward the dedication, hard work, and essential contributions of CDWs to early childhood development. In addition, the cash incentives serve as a tangible way to show appreciation to CDWs while also ensuring that they are motivated, supported, and empowered to continue their crucial work in shaping young lives.
The distribution activity, which was held in sitio Sinigpit in Paracelis on March 25, 2025, was led by Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., Vice Governor Francis O. Tauli, and Board Members Ezra Samson A. Gomez and Joshua B. Fronda, together with personnel from the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer and Office of the Provincial Treasurer.
During the activity, 42 CDWs from Paracelis and 24 from Natonin each received their 5,000-peso cash incentive. According to Governor Lacwasan, the amount was raised from 4,500 pesos last year to 5,000 pesos this year.
Meanwhile, the payout of incentives to CDWs coincided with the distribution of 35,000 pesos worth of financial assistance to all barangay local government units of Paracelis and Natonin. This is also an initiative under the Barangay Muna Program of the Governor which aims to support the development initiatives of the barangays; thereby, improving public services at the grassroots level.
