LA TRINIDAD, Benguet August 03 – A 25-year old porter was injured after he was stabbed by his fellow porter after a commotion that transpired while they were playing a card game inside their boarding house at Km. 3, Pico, here, Wednesday.
Chief Inspector Benson Macliing, chief of the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, identified the victim as Reil Ajon Campuso, 25, single, and resident of Km. 3, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet while he named the suspect as Malard Cogaybo Sachico, 20, single, a resident of Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect were playing a card game inside their boarding house when a heated altercation suddenly ensued between them that escalated to a commotion that was later pacified by concerned neighbors.
The victim noticed blood oozing from his abdomen as he came out from the room that caused him to be rushed by his neighbors to the Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) for medical treatment while responding police operatives arrested the suspect.
Appropriate charges are now being prepared against the suspect who is now detained at the La Trinidad Municipal jail awaiting the disposition of the case to be filed against them.
