BONTOC, Mountain Province – Bringing services closer to the people.
This was felt by at least 134 professionals in Mountain Province who were served during the mobile outreach services of the Philippine Regulations Commission (PRC) – Baguio City), in coordination with the Provincial Government of Mountain Province, held at the Provincial Capitol Building on March 18, 2017.
Among the services availed of by the clients during the activity are: 1) renewal of Professional Identification Cards (PIC) and Licenses that had expired and that will expire on or before March 18, 2018; 2) release of available Professional ID Cards and Board Certificates; 3) initial registration of new board passers; and 4) application for Licensure Examinations for Civil Engineers, Certified Public Accountants, nurses and criminologist.
Executive Assistant Adelyn Jocelyn F. Culaling of the Office of the Governor said that Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. immediately approved the activity as part of the 50th Founding Anniversary and 13th Lang-ay Cultural Festival of Mountain Province. The governor believed that it is for the comfort and convenience of the professionals in the province, as the bridging activity will save the latter from cost of travel and other related expenses in going to PRC- Baguio City.
She added that it was scheduled on a Saturday so government employees especially those coming from other municipalities will be able to avail of the services and need not file their Application for Leave from work.
A nurse at the Bontoc General Hospital who applied for the renewal of her license said that she is very thankful that the PRC brings its services in the province as she need not to travel to Baguio City to renew her license, thereby, saving her from expenses and time.
Dubbed as “Agew Di Maki Laglagbo,” the activity was spearheaded and funded by the provincial government through its Public Employment Service Office, and with the legal assistance of the Provincial Legal Office.
