DAGUPAN CITY – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)-Regional Office 1 will conduct three licensure examinations this month of April for professions such as criminologists, pharmacists, and midwives.
Lawyer Arl Ruth Sacay-Sabelo, PRC Ilocos regional director, said the licensure exam for criminologists is scheduled on April 3-5, 2023 in four testing venues across the region.
Testing centers are as follows Rosales National High School in Rosales, Pangasinan; Bayambang Polytechnic College in Bayambang, Pangasinan; North Luzon Philippines State College in Candon City, Ilocos Sur; and Mariano Marcos State University-Laoag Campus in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.
Meanwhile, the licensure test for pharmacists will take place at the Carmay Elementary School in Rosales, Pangasinan on April 10-11, 2023.
“Here in the region, there are 80 examinees who will take their examination,” Sacay-Sabelo said.
Further, the PRC Ilocos will conduct the licensure examination for 26 aspiring midwives on April 13-14, 2023 at the PRC Regional Office 1 testing rooms in Carmay East, Rosales, Pangasinan.
She said that during the examination, examinees are mandated to bring with them their Notice of Admission (NOA), pencils (No. 2), ball pens (black ink only), one piece long brown envelope, one piece long transparent (non-colored) plastic envelope for keeping the valuables and other allowed items, duly accomplished health forms, vaccination card, snacks, packed lunch, and water.
She advised examinees to read the special instruction and advisory in their NOA, visit and check their room assignment at the PRC official website: www.prc.gov.ph at least three to five days before the scheduled examination.
“Examinees should also download the examination program and the Revised Guidelines on the Observance of Protocols for Minimum Public Health Standards and Institutionalization of Healthy Settings in the Conduct of Licensure Examinations during State of Public Health Emergencies, for their reference and guidance,” she added.
For further concerns and queries, Sacay-Sabelo said the examinees may contact PRC-Regional Office 1 through e-mail at ro1.examination@prc.gov.ph. By April M. Montes-Bravo
