BAGUIO CITY – A 42-year-old mechanic was arrested early this morning, April 1, 2025, after being caught in the act of using suspected illegal drugs inside a parked vehicle along Asin Road, Baguio City.
According to the report submitted to PCol. Ruel D. Tagel, Baguio City Police Office City Director, personnel from Police Station 9 were conducting a proactive patrol along Km 4, Asin Road, when a concerned citizen flagged them down, alerting them to a male individual suspected of using drugs inside a parked Mitsubishi Pajero.
Responding officers immediately approached the vehicle and discovered the suspect using illegal drugs. Seized from the suspect were two plastic sachets containing suspected Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, or “shabu,” along with various drug paraphernalia, which were collected as evidence.
The suspect is now facing charges for violating Sections 11 and 15 of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He is currently in police custody pending inquest proceedings.
