TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The proclaimed winning candidates in Tabuk City have expressed their gratitude to the voters, particularly the employees of the City Local Government Unit (CLGU) and their families, for their support in the recently concluded May 13 elections.
Mayor Darwin Estrañero, who ran unopposed and secured his third term with 47,759 votes, likened the election process to a game, where there are both winners and losers.
He acknowledged and thanked everyone who supported him despite his unopposed candidacy, expressing his commitment to continue serving the public.
He emphasized to continue his vision for Tabuk City and complete plans for the community, especially in bringing development projects that will benefit the people.
He also expressed hope that good working relationships would prevail among all candidates moving forward.
Other winning candidates who conveyed their appreciation to the voters include Councilors Ivan Yannick Bagayao, Eduardo Sacayle, and TJ Duyan.
On May 14, the Commission on Elections’ Board of Canvassers officially proclaimed the winners during a ceremony held at the SP Hall of the Legislative Building, attended by the candidates’ families and supporters.
Vice Mayor Dick Bal-o was also proclaimed, winning with 33,234 votes.
The newly elected members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod include Luchie Sarol with 37,106 votes, Marc Ranier Duguiang (35,036), Ivan Yannick Bagayao (34,239), Zorayda Mia Wacnang (34,094), and Juan Tomas Duyan (30,649)
Eduardo Sacayle garnered 29,155 votes, Samuel Suma-al (28,902), Abraham Licaycay (26,595), Jayferson Bon-as (26,535), and Martinez Vicente with 17,260 votes.
An impressive 87.45% voter turnout was recorded, with 65,210 out of 74,572 registered voters participating in the 2025 National and Local Elections in Tabuk City. By Ian Addatu
