The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has bared the latest statistics regarding live births, deaths, and marriages in Apayao province for the year 2024.
As per the report, a total of 411 live births were registered in January of this year. Among the municipalities, Luna recorded the highest number of registered births with 275, followed by Conner with 84, Flora with 15, Kabugao with 13, Calanasan with 12, Pudtol with 8, and Santa Marcela with 4.
On the flip side, Apayao witnessed 277 deaths during the first quarter of 2024. The breakdown shows 74 deaths in January, 102 in February, and 101 in March.
Moreover, Apayao also documented 93 marriages from January to March 2024. Among the municipalities, Conner topped the list with 28 ceremonies, followed by Flora with 28, Luna with 12, Santa Marcela with 9, Kabugao with 8, Pudtol with 7, and Calanasan with 3. Interestingly, February emerged as the most popular month for weddings with 38 ceremonies, according to PSA Apayao.
These statistics shed light on the demographic trends and records within the province, indicating both the joys of new life and the solemnity of loss, alongside the celebration of permanent union and commitment among the yApayaos. By JCM
