BAGUIO CITY – The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) urged the public to patronize the use of the newly developed mobile application to allow them to independently maneuver around the city and avoid being caught in traffic and ensure their hustle-free ventures in the country’s undisputed Summer Capital.
BCPO City Director Police Col. Ruel Tagel said that the locally developed mobile application, BCPO view Baguio app, could be easily downloaded on android phones which provides vital information on real time traffic, available parking spaces, alternate routes leading to different tourist destinations and the prevailing situation in the said sites for their guidance.
Earlier, the BCPO Information Technology personnel pooled their resources and developed this mobile application to provide users with hustle free mobility around the city.
The BCPO official claimed that with the expected influx of visitors to the city during the summer months, it is important for them to get real time updates on traffic and the current situation in the different tourist destinations to guide them in planning their visits to their desired tourist destinations in the city.
He pointed out that now that most people have their respective gadgets, it is important for them to download the necessary applications that will provide them with hustle-free visits to their desired destinations not only in the city but also in the different parts of the Cordillera.
Tagel emphasized that the availability of the locally-developed mobile application has provided convenience to users because they no longer need to spend some of their precious time in locating their destinations as the same information is readily available in the application. By Dexter A. See
