PUDTOL, Apayao – The municipal government, in collaboration with the Municipal Health Office (MHO), distributed Health Emergency Assistance (HEA) to barangay health workers (BHWs) and barangay nutrition scholars (BNSs) earlier today, January 8, 2025 at the new Evacuation Center and Multi-purpose Building, Poblacion, Pudtol Apayao.
Around 90 BHWs and BNSs who reported during the COVID-19 pandemic period were given HEA.
The distribution aims to acknowledge the critical role of BHWs and BNSs in safeguarding public health during the pandemic.
The recent distribution was made possible through the intervention and leadership of Mayor Hector Reuel D. Pascua, along with the MHO, whose efforts ensured that the welfare of the local health workers remains a top priority.
The distribution of the HEA is a testament to the local government’s appreciation of the contributions of BHWs and BNSs, encouraging them to continue their vital work in the community.
