BONTOC, Mountain Province – The provincial government, through its Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), announced the lined-up activities for the Linggo ng Wika celebration to be held August 28–30, 2024 during the flag ceremony-cum-Tuesday program held at the Provincial Plaza recently.
According to PYD Officer Arthur Leonard B. Odsey, the activities include 1) Essay Writing Contest, Indigenous Cook Fest, bloodletting, and chalk art to be held simultaneously on the 28th; 2) Tree Planting (29th); 3) Mental Health Awareness Symposium, among others.
In relation to this celebration, the Odsey thanked the officials of the provincial government, especially Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., who readily funded the activities of the youth. Furthermore, he invited everyone to give support and provide support to the youth activities and to participate in the scheduled Thursday Hataw activities.
According to him, the Hataw activities every Thursday is not only fun but these also pave the way for the promotion of healthy lifestyle, camaraderie and teamwork among personnel of the provincial government.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Security Services Office (PSSO) who hosted today’s program appealed to all employees to heed all the ordinances/ policies that have been crafted by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for a healthier environment for all employees and clients like the Anti-Smoking Ordinance (PO No. 517, s. 2015).
Moreover, in relation to peace and order, PSSO Assistant Department Head Jaime M. Palangdosan, said that all personnel should strictly observe the “No ID, No Entry” policy of the provincial government so as to easily distinguish employees from clients/ visitors. He also reiterated on the “No Spitting of Momma” and “No Drinking of Liquor” within the Provincial Government premises.
