The R.O.C. Ball club posted its first win in the 2nd Engineers Hill Barangay Invitational Basketball Tournament over Dagsian Barangay , 93-58 in the fourth canto of action in their first game scheduled March 24, 2015 at the Engineers Hill Barangay covered court.
In an interview with ROC Team manager Dr. Bereck Ruiz, said “that the team hibernated since their second place win in the YMCA Cup in December of 2014 losing the coveted championship to GWE in the said tournament that kept the team intact and venture in more tournaments, he added that the effect of “esprit de corps” on the team keeps our players steadfast, upholding the opportunity of development of skill, talent and the personality of all players to be better athletes”.
Likewise, Engineers Hill Barangay basketball tournament organizer and Barangay Sports Chairman Henry “Butch” Gayot, appreciated the participation of the ROC in the tournament with other teams from different Barangay’s in the City. According to Kag. Gayot, there are 18 teams in participation
In two brackets of the tournament namely;
BRACKET A: Engineer’s Hill Barangay, Cabinet Hill-Teachers Camp Barangay, East Bayan Aurora Hill Barangay, Auto Pines, BEM, and Batch 95. BRACKET B: Kanagsiit, Konsit Krew, Samaritans, Syapih, Hotellier, Frontliner, Masters, Qualisigns, Dagsian Barangay, D.T.I and R.O.C.
He added that the tournament is in connection with the celebration of the forth coming Engineer’s Hill Barangay Fiesta on May 1, 2015.
