BAGUIO CITY – The Cordillera Regional Development Council (RDC) is inviting all interested and talented song writers/composers to join the “2021 Disiplina Muna jingle-making contest” through the Development Administration Committee, which is led by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
“As chair of the Regional Development Council’s Dev Ad Committee, we intend to spread the Disiplina Muna campaign through a Jingle Making Contest centered on the seven pillars,” said DILG-CAR OIC-Regional Director Araceli San Jose.
She stated that the jingle-writing contest will allow not only government institutions to implement Republic Act 11032 and be advocates of Disiplina Muna, but also the general public to be aware of the campaign’s essence.
“This will also continue to educate and communicate the importance of Disiplina Muna, which instills discipline amongst Cordillerans and the rest of the Filipinos through the Jingle Contest and encourages active participation of the region’s various stakeholders,” she said.
The following criteria will be used to judge the submissions: Lyrics (relevance to the theme and consideration of 7 pillars) – 25 percent, Melody & harmony – 25 percent, Originality & creativity – 25 percent, Performance & Presentation – 10 percent, and Overall impact (number of online votes & shares) – 15 percent.
The winners will receive the following cash awards and plaques: 1st Place will receive Php 10,000, 2nd Place will receive Php 5,000, 3rd Place will receive Php 3,000, and 4th-10th Place will each receive Php 1,000.
The participants will also be awarded a Certificate of Commendation during the Cordillera Month Celebration.
