BAGUIO CITY – Various religious activities had been lined up by different religious organizations in time for the Holy Week in the city.
During Palm Sunday on April 13, 2025, there will be a Holy Mass at the Dominican-Mirador heritage and Eco Park at around 9 am aside from Ilocano, Filipino and English masses at the Baguio Cathedral in different time slots on the same day.
On Holy Monday, there will be a series of time slot allotted for reflection aside from the scheduled English masses and the traditional Pabasa at the Baguio Cathedral.
On April 17, there will be a Maundy Thursday mass at the Dominican-Mirador Heritage and Eco Park that will be followed by a series of activities such as the conference and Last Supper at the Pink Sisters Convent, Communal Way of the Cross at the Infinity Garden of the Baguio Country Club, Re-enactment of the Washing of the Feet and the Last Supper at the FDR room of BCC, followed by a Pet A Rabbit and film viewing at the BCC.
On April 18 Good Friday, there will be a Confession at the President’s room of the BCC followed by the Liturgy of Christ’s Passion and Death and Sacred Scriptures and Veneration of the Cross at the BCC said from various religious activities in various churches around the city.
On April 19 Black Saturday, there will be the scheduled lighting of the Paschal candle and Easter vigil mass at the BCC aside from a morning prayer and Liturgy of the Hours, Service of Light, Liturgy of the word Baptism and Holy Eucharist.
On April 20 Easter Sunday, there will be a Holy mass in various churches in the city aside from the traditional Salubong at the Baguio Cathedral Square and Easter Sunday masses to celebrate the resurrection of Christ from the dead.
Further, there will also be the Baguio Easter Ecumenical morning service which is an Easter celebration spearheaded by the City government through the City Human Resource management Office and the United Church of Christ in the Philippines that will be held at the Rose Garden. By Dexter A. See
