BAGUIO CITY – City officials recently approved the request of Happy Homes–Old Lucban barangay for the closure of the right side of the road, specifically in Purok 3, Benitez area to Calango frontage, at Happy Homes–Old Lucban from December 1, 2024 at 10 am until December 19, 2024 at 5 pm for the conduct of their barangay community garage sale.
Under Ordinance No. 74, series of 2024, the barangay shall submit a terminal report to the city council at the end of their activity.
The council noted that Happy Homes–Old Lucban barangay has no designated venue, open or close court, or of the same kind for the conduct of various barangay-led activities and barangay gatherings can take place.
Earlier, the council considered Barangay Resolution No. 049, series of 2024 of Happy Homes–Old Lucban barangay that requested the body through Vice Mayor Faustino A. Olowan and Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong to allow the use of the right side of the road of barangay Happy Homes–Old Lucban, specifically in Purok 3, Benitez area to Calango frontage, from December 1, 2024, 10 am, until December 19,, 20224 at 5 pm for the conduct of their barangay community garage sale.
The council, subsequently, granted this request by the barangay in the spirit of the Yuletide celebration where proceeds of the barangay community garage sale will be used to fund the implementation of various community outreach programs that will be beneficial to the residents.
Various barangays in the city had requested the council to approve the conduct of their respective barangay fund-raising activities during the Yuletide season for them to generate resources that will be used to fund the implementation of their respective outreach activities. By Dexter A. See
