The Department of Finance has again tapped the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry as its partner in conducting a nationwide roadshow Package 2 of the Comprehensive Tax Reform Program that focus into lowering the corporate income tax and streamlining or rather rationalizing fiscal incentives.
The Open Government Partnership (OGP), a multilateral initiative that aims to secure concrete commitments from governments to promote transparency, empower citizens, fight corruption and harness new technologies to strengthen governance. It further strengthens the consultation mechanisms on public finance, specifically revenue and expenditure of the government.
The TRAIN Roadshow on Package 2 of the Comprehensive Tax Reform scheduled on March 7, 2017 is undertaken just after the two day Philippine Open government Partnership (PH-OGP) Regional Dialogues 2018 slated on March 5-6, 2018 in one of the Hotels here in the City of Baguio.
Invited participants of Tax Reform Roadshows on March 5 and 6, 2018 are the Regional Governors and local Presidents of the PCCI of the North Luzon Area, government sectors and members of civil societies while on March 7, 2018 the Baguio Chamber takes this opportunity to invite its members and/or other tax practitioners to the said Tax Reform Roadshow.
