LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Mayor Romeo K. Salda ordered the total lockdown of the vegetable trading posts located along Km. 5 and a private trading center in Puguis following the latest confirmed COVID-a9 case in the municipality.
The total lockdown will take effect 12:01 AM of June 11, 2020 to pave way for aggressive contact tracing and disinfection of the trading centers.
Vegetable delivery trucks are not allowed to park inside the vegetable trading posts until further notice.
Normal operation of the vegetable trading posts will resume at 12:00 AM of June 15, 2020.
Mayor Salda also ordered the conduct of swab testing on porters and other essential workers in the facility to prevent the spread of the virus and ensure that the close contacts of the latest COVID-19 case will be traced and isolated the soonest.
