BAGUIO CITY – One of the major incorporators of the defunct Satarah Wellness International filed thirteen counts of cyber libel against an official of a technical-vocational institution after having posted online alleged libelous statements against her.
In a 7-page affidavit complained filed before the city prosecutor’s office, Romyllie Batolne-Lau accused Editha David alias Lovely David of cyber libel after the latter allegedly on May 25, 2016 posted a status with three pictures on her facebook account and made the libellous commentary, “ kalaboso daw. Sa wakas nahuli napo ang big scammer ng Satarah Wellness Romyllie Lau at sister niya Ruby Ebbes batolne. Sila ang nag scam ng kaban na pera sa nga taga Cordillera Region six billion pesos. Kinawawa po nila ang mga kapatid natin mga Ifugao at iba pa. Nagstyle mayaman para lang makilala ng lahat at dinamay pa mga kababayan natin. Di nakontento sa buhay nila. Nagparetoke pa sa mukha 3 million at pati kapatid 1 million at bumili ng ibat-ibang klase ng sasakyan puro bago at condo at bahay at lupa yun pala magnanakaw ng pera sa mga kapatid natin sa provinces at ngayon po pinaghahanap ang asawa si Wing Pan Henrich Lau na nasa Hong Kong po. Kung sino po nakakilala sa kanya nasa Hong Kong po pakiusap po inbox lang po kayo please. Bukas po ABS-CBN – 6:30 am ipapalabas ang buong detalye. Lau alleged that the respondent compared her with Napoles and claimed that she used imported cream “kala niu magtatago sa batas a dinaig pa nio si Napoles sa aura nio dalawa!!! Ngayon tikman ninyong dalawa nga lamok sa selda. Wala na imported cream para sa mukha ninyong dalawa!!.”
In response to a comment from one Agnes Pamintuan Perez, Lau said the respondent claimed that the supposed stolen money was P6 billion.
She claimed her friends and relatives saw the postings and immediately informed her about it and her visitors also showed it to her.
According to her, she was not yet convicted of any crime and in fact, the State is even confused in the filing of cases against her and her companions and that her lawyers already filed motions to dismiss, motions to quash information, motions to recall warrants of arrest among others before the courts.
Lau pointed out David’s postings are allegedly libelous per se and such intent to injure her reputation and place her in social obloquy
Moreover, she alleged that David’s statements tend to taint and damage her reputation in the eyes of her family, friends and business relations and such statements were made in reckless disregard of their truths or falsities and made with malice.
Lau asserted David made such libelous statements with the full knowledge of their facilities and that her accusations caused undue stress and placed her in contempt and ridicule.
The complainant requested the city prosecutor’s office to file in court, after due investigation, the corresponding information of 13 counts of cyber libel against David.
